The $100 prize winner was randomly selected today from the e-mail addresses submitted from the awards. Once the person responds confirming they won, I will announce the winner. If they don’t respond within a couple days I will select another winner.

Well there are some very interesting results amongst the awards.
most noted:
Forum, Helifreak NO surprise there gotta love the freak
Heli radio, very equal shares there.
Gyro, was a little surprised i expected Spartan to steal that one, guess the 520 pulled some back!
Canopy, Very surprised to Fusuno were not listed as an option.

If i could make the suggestion, that in future maybe durring the voting process instead of the no option listed/no choice, the no option listed could be changed to manual selection via typing it in, some of the awards there large % coming under this section, i just feel its wasted opinion as no one knows whos included in that group.

Thanks for the suggestions. I thought about doing a write-in category but felt it would dilute the results with too many entries. Next year I will definitely think twice about that and do it differently.

lex it would not have made a difference. the reason is that if there is a guy who never owned an electric heli….he will have no opinion of products in that cat….nitro…visa versa…so I think the way we did it was the best approach…allowing u to not be forced into an answer if you had no opinion or never owned those brands/genres of products. I’ve never owned flybarless…so thus the reason in that cat for a huge number of no opinion votes….because flybarless is still in its infancy.
