Fusuno has been widely successful with their updated design of the Align T-Rex 700N canopy. Continuing in that tradition Fusuno has now updated the Align T-Rex 500 design. The design stretched out the nose a little giving it more of a point, eliminating a lot of the “round bubble” of the stock Align canopies.

So we went out to the field to test out some new blades and packs on my buddies T-Rex 500 (Lightning Power 425mm and 6s 2600 3g packs). Running the Scorpion 1400 KV motor, I was amazed by the power. This is definitely a killer setup.

Outstanding T-Rex 500 flight by Alan Szabo

In May Align held a co-sponsored event in cooperation with LVRCC and this a video from that event showing Alan Szabo beating up a T-Rex 500. At one point he even flies under a chain bordering the runway INVERTED. This is a must see video.

Alot of activity is going around about FLYBARLESS setups. Looks like now they are even getting moved over to the 500 class. Matt Botos seems be be really liking the flight characteristics of the flybarless setups. So much so, that he recently joined team Mikado. I guess, to get the free V-Bar setups, LOL. Just kidding Matt!

A video was submitted today of Matt doing some damage to a T-Rex 500. Is he allowed to fly a 500?? Isn’t he team Mikado (wink).

Looks like he borrowed this 500 from Fireup.

Looks like a classic Align parking lot video.  I feel like I am a corporate spy when watching these Align parking lot videos.  This one for some reason seems like a really good representation of the Align T-Rex 500′s capabilties in tight quarters.  Of course with JK and Alan at the sticks anything is possible.
