As I sit back here next to the fire pit, I have to admit, even though there were only 40 registered pilots, this was probably the most fun I’ve had at an event in a long time. It was cold and cloudy, but that did not seem to bother anyone. Everyone continued to rack up flights throughout the day. There was a total of 5 crashes, one of which was caught on RcHeliResource video. 3 of which were quite spectacular. Check back in a few days for the video. But even for those who did meet the pavement, spirits were still high. Two great free meals probably had something to do with that. And as the day came to a close, many pilots brought out their night ships, putting on some spectacular shows. I still have photos from that I have to go through, so those will be posted later on.
