Sebastian Zajonz is preparing for the ToyFair, but photos of the Compass Warp 360 prototypes are starting to make their way around the internet. It looks like a beefy 450 class heli swinging 360mm blades as we have been told. Click for the latest photos.
As noted in a prior post showing the CAD drawings there are many strong points on this heli prototype.More details will most likely be released at the ToyFair. Remember that this is a prototype, so features and appearance are subject to change after some very rigorous flight testing.
Features:
- A thick tail boom which allows the model to forgo tail boom supports
- It will swing 360mm blades
- A borrowed the swashplate guide with permission from Henseleit Helicopters
- A top-rear mount motor for better cooling
- A 6mm mainshaft
- A rigid head design that uses carbon fiber grips for dampening
- The patented Compass swash driverless FBL head
- A non-driven tail for better effciency during autorotaitons
