Check out this INSANE pass with the Three Dee Rigid going over 233km/h (145mph)! With a head speed of 1950 that’s just ballistic!
A while back we posted this video of Alan Szabo Jr. in Taiwan testing a brand new Align 600mm “3D Pro wood core” blade. Well now this blade has been officially released in Taiwan and will be making it’s way to dealers around the world in the coming weeks. These blades feature a rigid but lightweight wood core construction, similar to V-Blades. The price is very attractive, $67.99 USD.
Here is the second picture gallery for the recent OCMA fun fly. These are pictures from around the pits.
It’s been no secret that team Next-D and Curtis Youngblood have been working on several projects around flybarless. Now the first release is here, the Next-D Flybarless head for the Rave helicopter.
Though the recent addition of flight instruction videos to our site has been an overwhelming success, we have seen some users who would like to see the videos in mode 1. While this could be done, it would take two recordings, two edits, and two uploads, which would slow down the process. We decided not to record any mode 1 videos because mode 1 flyers seem to be a minority. But due to a recent demand, I would like a poll of users that watch the flight instruction videos, which mode do you fly? This is not a poll just for those who fly mode 1, but EVERY user if possible. If there is enough response for mode 1 videos, then we will deliver.
What transmitter mode do you fly?
- Mode 1 (31%, 64 Votes)
- Mode 2 (69%, 145 Votes)
Total Voters: 209
I had not planned on being able to attend XFC this year however, due to a family emergency I ended up being in Cleveland, OH on Saturday and Sunday. Late afternoon Sunday I had some free time so my girlfriend and I made the short 3.5 hour drive to Muncie, IN to catch the last that we could of the competition.

The new Klone 50: a combination of upgrades and a popular airframe in one kit!
Looks like G-Force Technologies (http://www.gforceheli.com) has done it again with another addition to their high quality hop-ups for the Align T-Rex 700.
We received a set of their T-Rex 700N Hi-Tilt Flybar Cage Conversion & Tuner Arms (Mixing & Washout) for a review and we must say that the verdict is definitely a “10.” If you want the full story you know what to do.[SinglePic not found]
Some new information and pictures on the upcoming OS MAX-55HZ engine from OS Engines Japan:
For several years many heli pilots have been using power drills to start their nitro engines. Typically they buy a starter shaft and “chuck” in the power drill. Almost everyone has a power drill laying around the house so this has always been a popular option.
Now G-Force Heli has a recognized the need for a product specifically designed for use in power drills. Instead of chucking the starter shaft directly into the drill, G-Force has developed an adapter. This adapter is fully rubber isolated which will eliminate the shock, vibration and wobble from the shaft into the drill. You then use one of the many commercially available starter shafts with the adapter.[SinglePic not found]
