Team RcHeliResource is on site at the 23rd Annual Southern Rotary Classic. Shown for the first time to the public at this event is the new Curtis Youngblood Rave ENV Nitro 90. Curtis had the ENV Electric 90 on hand at IRCHA, but now we get the first look at the nitro variant.
Shown on Kasama’s web site today are the latest shots of the upcoming SRIMOK 90 Electric. We have been following this story for a while now posting CAD drawings as they are released by Mr. Kasama. Now we get a glimpse of the first real life prototype. In true Kasama style, it’s takes very little from current designs and brings something very unique and fresh to the market. You can bet many of the SRIMOK nitro parts will carry over, but wait to see what is different on the electric version. WARNING this is no simple nitro to electric conversion!
Canomod has just released some lower pricing on their designs. Check them out!
Effective immediately Curtis Youngblood has lowered the price on their very popular Mini-G gyro. The old retail price was $179.99, the new retail price as of today is $158.99 This past season has seen several new gyro products come to the market with very competitive pricing. CY wants to make sure they can still provide a high quality product, but at a competitive price. The Mini-G is the gyro of choice for any size heli from 250 all the way up to 700 electric and nitro. This announcement comes after CY decided in August to discontinue to the Solid-G in favor of the Mini-G as their sole flagship gyro.
OMG this video was just “tipped” to us and I had to post it up. Awesome flight from Tom Erik Rolfson beating this new Raptor Titan 50 SE to death. Flying it more like a lawn mower than a helicopter. Watch!
This one slipped under the radar without much announcement. Looks like Spektrum has released it’s first new servo in a long time and aimed directly at the rc helicopter market. The Spektrum H6040 has some pretty impressive specifications, but then when you see the price you will be VERY impressed! With titanium gears, .08 transit speed, and 167oz torque all for $79.99 looks like Spektrum is going after the title for best bank for the buck budget servo.

If you have had a hard landing with your Kasama SRIMOK 90 then you probably already know the stock carbon fiber landing gear will break. Especially the front which is half the width of the rear. Well Custom Heli Parts has recognized an opportunity to offer a upgrade to SRIMOK owners and released 3.0mm front and rear landing gear. Compared to the stock 2.0mm landing gear these will be much stronger. TIP: If you feel the 3.0mm landing gear is still not enough then you could easily combine the stock and Custom Heli parts together for 5.0mm of strength! Click HERE to order you a set today for your Kasama SRIMOK 90!
