Held this past weekend was the 2009 Munich Heli Masters in Munich, Germany. Team Mikado absolutely dominated the event with their Logo helicopter. 7 out of the top 10 pilots were flying a Logo including second place Kyle Dahl form the US, and third place Marius Müller from Germany. Eric Weber from Germany, for the second year in a row, took first place on the podium with his Align T-Rex 700. Congratulations to all the pilots! Click to see the full results…
In response to our IRCH 2009 Alan Szabo & Lukas Riva Music Video Trailer these guys have come up with this. Its frickin’ hillarious….
As many of you have seen before, Insane Canopy has been pumping out wild designs at extremely high quality, now you can get the mid range division “Sick Canopy” . Here is the logic behind Insane, Sick Canopy, and Canopy Works: Insane Canopy at highest quality, Sick Canopy will be a bit lower quality and details at affordable price, and Canoopy Works will be good quality at the best price. They currently offer canopies for the Trex 700, 700 V2 shape, Avant Aurora, and the Synergy N9 with prices ranging from $100-150! If you have had a hard landing with your Kasama SRIMOK 90 then you probably already know the stock carbon fiber landing gear will break. Especially the front which is half the width of the rear. Well Custom Heli Parts has recognized an opportunity to offer a upgrade to SRIMOK owners and released 3.0mm front and rear landing gear. Compared to the stock 2.0mm landing gear these will be much stronger. TIP: If you feel the 3.0mm landing gear is still not enough then you could easily combine the stock and Custom Heli parts together for 5.0mm of strength! Click HERE to order you a set today for your Kasama SRIMOK 90!
Shown at IRCHA this year, and widely anticipated for the past several months, is the new Mikado Logo 500 SE (Special Edition). The Logo 500 SE is a little larger then the previous Logo 500 which allows it to run 600mm main blades on 6S lipo power for some insane 3D action! The Logo 500 SE comes with a V-Bar head only, and with or without the V-Bar electronics.

For those of you who are very internet savvy…we have now gone totally social. I am not sure if many of you noticed the huge site upgrades over the last week but we have now integrated with facebook (as we have for a long time but not with SMS updates) and with Twitter (we have had an account for a while but we failed to update it manually)
Our site now pushes real time updates to both of these services automatically. We hope that this helps you keep in touch with us. We plan on allowing you to also do other things with FB and TWITTER soon.
Another Sponsored Team video we produced for Team Outrage. Enjoy some great footage of the new Velocity 50.
We have posted a couple flights of the new OS 55 HZ, but what about the new YS 56! Here is a video of Henry Caldwell with Team Outrage flying the YS 56 with the Outrage prototype 56 pipe in their Outrage Velocity 50.
UPDATE: As much as we all want to see Align release a flybarless unit, this one IS NOT it. I just spoke with Alan Szabo Jr. and this is not a Align product they are working on currently.
It looks like a 3 axis unit from the pictures. Also seen are two JR satellite receivers plugged into ports on the rear of the flybarless unit. This would suggest it will also be a receiver bus unit similar to Mikado Mini V-Bar, CYE Total-G, and Skookum SK720. Other then what you see, we don’t have any additional info as this time, but will soon as available.
Bert Kammerer has posted a full length flight to back up the previous short teaser flight we posted earlier.
Ely.Q is gearing up to start shipping their new Vision 50 Competition kit but that hasn’t stopped them from offering a very enticing promo. If you place a order before Sept 30th, the kit will be yours for just $299 USD. Normal retail price will be $429.99 USD, so that’s a savings of $130 USD. Ely.Q is are also offering your choice of either 50% off the torque tube upgrade when available or a painted fiberglass canopy. If all of that wasn’t good enough, Ely.Q is offering another $50 USD off the promo price if you can prove you purchased a Vision 50 Ultimate.
First shown in pictures from our 3DMasters coverage in Spain was the fact Align has been working on a new version T-Rex 700 Nitro. Dubbed the Limited Edition, the main different between the original 700 release is, with the exception of the tail case, all of the aluminum pieces are silver anodize instead of black. Now that Align has officially added the T-Rex 700 LE to it’s online catalog we also know it will be released as a combo with included electronics and blades.
