Outrage has been around for a couple of years now. Their first product to be released was the G5 450 helicopter along with their batteries. The G5 was one of the first 450s that out of the box that could run 350mm blades without any modification. Since then, they have developed a 550 electric, a 50 nitro, mufflers, and just recently announced their line of fuel. Read on to hear the verdict on their first model, the G5, and hear how it stacks up against other competing 450’s.

REX has just released the R91HR engine with a 3-needle carb!
Last year’s LA 3D was an exceptional event, with a great turn out and some big name pilots as well. The organizers plan to make it no different this year, expecting attendance higher than last years event. Rotor FX will also be in attendance, with a full scale Schweizer landing as well as a Mosquito on display. The RCHR team will be out in full force shooting HD video and pictures, but this is definitely an event you will not want to miss.

One of our users sent us some videos from the Oroville Air Corps fun fly that was held this weekend. Some big name pilots, such as Ben Storic, Devin LeBlanc, and Tim Jones were in attendance. Though this was a first time event to help out the local boys and girls club, the event organizers are hoping to hold it yearly.

Some of you may remember the video we posted a few weeks ago of Bert ripping up his 600, well, this was the pipe, along with the new OS 55, that made that flight so incredible. It comes that time with every motor when it starts to lose power or the bearing is going out and making noise. I recently had one of my YS 91 SR engines start making a bearing noise and was losing power, so I decided to rebuild it and document the process for future reference. Rebuilding an heli engine is not terribly difficult, but following a certain order of steps will make it much easier.

Ok guys here it is, the official first pictures of the Align flybarless unit. These pictures were sent to us by Alan Szabo Jr. who is currently in Taiwan testing the new unit. The only info available right now is what we know from the pictures. The unit is a 3-axis gyro, and the sensor is separate from the main unit. Note that none of the electronics have cases yet and are very earlier in prototype testing. Click HERE to see videos of the unit being testing by Alan.

Alan Szabo Jr. just sent us some spy shots of the flybarless head he’s running on his T-Rex 700 testing the new Align flybarless system. As you can see the head is a stock T-Rex 700 LE head but with main blade grip extensions, swash driver, and swash arms. NOTE: These are prototype parts and in no way represent the final design.
You’ve heard that the 2009 IRCHA Jamboree had 951 registered pilots, countless spectators, and a flight line with 15 pilot stations stretching half a mile. However it’s really hard to grasp the size until you see an aerial shot of the whole event from a plane above. IRCHA and AMA posted some aerial pictures they took during the event on their Facebook page today.
