The Japaneses have always been crazy about their engines, trying to squeeze out the maximum power from minimum capacity. It seems they have applied that to the OS-50 hyper. R/C engine tuning house and aftermarket parts manufacturer, M-Speed, has been selling two types of very modified OS-50 hyper.
Lets start with the more affordable variant at around $250.00.
“OS 50 SX-H Reformed”
Features
- 3-needle 60M carb off the 91SZ-H
- Black Coated head for better heat dissipation
- Polished Crankshaft intake port
- Special Con-rod
And then there is a even more highly modified version, the “H817 SX-H” at a cool US$400
H817 SX-H
Features
- Ceramic Bearings
- Lightened Crank Shaft
- Modified Exhaust Timing
- Black Coated Heat Sink and Crank Case for heat dissipation
- Modified for maximum top end power
Yes, all OS warranty will be voided for both engines, but I suppose M-Speed will give customers some sort of support, though it isn’t mentioned on the web page.
