•Wish you could tidy the sim leads away?
The SIMSTICK can be plugged into the PC at the back and everything tucked away OUT OF SIGHT!
•Do you have a DX7 SE and wish it would connect to your sim?
The DX7 Se has no trainer port, which means up until now you could not plug in a sim lead into it. Now you can!
•Got a big screen TV and want to use your RC Flight Sim?
As you need no wires using the SIMSTICK you can be as far away from the screen as you want.
•Do you like new gadgets?
We do! That’s why we made the SIMSTICK ![]()
SIMSTICK ia a great looking USB interface device that will allow you to connect to your PC without using the wires. Anytime you want to use your simulator just turn on your transmitter and it will instantly connect. There is no appreciable loss in latency and it will even allow you to fly with transmitters that do not have a trainer port (i.e. DX7 SE).
Whether you are a RC helicopter or plane pilot there are many advantages to practicing on an RC flight simulator. The only pain is the lead you connect to your PC, it gets under your feet, looks messy and it’s never there when you need it, so why not tidy it away?
Simstick is compatible with most Spektrum based radios including the DX8 and the majority of 6 channel receivers with a narrow pin spacing.

Follow these simple steps to wireless simulator flight !
•You will require:
A Spektrum based transmitter (DX6i, DX7,etc)
A Spektrum based receiver (currently most 6 channel receivers available, i.e. AR6100, 6110, etc)
•Step1: Bind your transmitter to your receiver
You will need to apply power to the receiver via a regulated lipo or a NiCad and perform the bind process set out by the manufacturer. The transmitter needs to be on a separate model memory, in heli mode (even for planes) and in a single servo operating configuration (i.e. not set to multi servo CCPM mode if being used for helis).
•Step2: Plug the receiver into SIMSTICK
CAUTION: Care should be taken to ensure that the receiver is correctly installed.
The battery terminals on the receiver must overhang the connection block where the arrow on the Simstick points.

•Step3: Connect the original simulator jack and USB plus into SimStick
Connect your SIMSTICK to one of your computer’s free USB ports.
We recommend you use a USB fly lead to reduce the chance of breakage or stress to the USB connector on the SimStick.
•Step4: Turn on your Transmitter
•Step5: Start up your RC flight simulator
•Step6: Calibrate your transmitter in the setup of your RC flight simulator

•Step7: Re-assign the channels
You will find the Aileron, Pitch and Throttle channels will need to be re-assigned in the in the Transmitter setup screen. Either follow your RC flight simulator instructions. Watch video…..
•Step8: Go and Fly!!
You are now ready to fly. We hope you enjoy using SIMSTICK as much as we do! Please let us know what you think.

Receivers/Transmitters
•Can I use all 2.4 GHz transmitters and receivers such as Futaba and Spektrum?
The SIMSTICK supports Spektrum at the moment (including the DX7 se which does not have a trainer port so cannot be used with a simulator – until now). We are looking to produce a Futaba version as soon as we can.
•Will it work with 35 MHz transmitters?
Yes. We have tested a 35MHz version that will become available in the near future.
•What Spektrum receivers can I use?
Currently the Spektrum ar6100, ar6100e, ar6110 are supported. The ar6110e is not supported due to wider pin spacing.
•Will you be supporting any receivers later on?
We are developing an adaptor for the AR7000 which we hope to have available soon. We have found most users use a common 6channel receiver with the SIMSTICK, perhaps one that is not trusted in the real helicopter or a spare one. We will be constantly looking at ways we can include new receivers to the compatibility list. Please let us know if you have found receivers not on the compatibility list as we will update the website once confirmed.
•How do I connect my receiver to the SIMSTICK?
The Instructions section of this site contains basic instructions and help videos for detailed information on setting up your SIMSTICK.
•How many channels does the SIMSTICK support?
The SIMSTICK supports up to 6 channels at the moment, however, we are looking at extending this up to 9 channels in the future.
•I’m not sure how to “bind” my receiver to my Transmitter, how do I do this?
The bind process is specific to your manufacturer and also to the individual receivers.
•Can I use any old receiver, even one with aerials that are missing?
If you have a spare receiver that you think still works but you don’t trust it for your model, then try it on the SIMSTICK. You will see from our own experience, that we used an old battered ar6100e which had lost both aerials and it works with no problems!
SIMSTICK
•How is it powered?
Through the USB port, it does not require a “powered” USB hub.
•Should I use a USB extension lead to connect the SIMSTICK to my PC?
Because the existing simulator dongle lead has to be retained and connected to the SIMSTICK, it makes sense to use and extension lead to reduce the stress on the USB port both on the SIMSTICK and the PC.
•Can I leave the SIMSTICK connected to my PC?
Yes! It functions just like any other USB connected device, so it will be ready for you use as and when you run you simulator programme and switch on your transmitter.
•Have I GOT to use the simulator Dongle that was supplied with my software?
Yes. The dongle is an integral part of the simulator which allows your transmitter to function with the software.
•Can I plug the Dongle in the wrong way?
No, it will only connect one way.
•Can I use the SIMSTICK on any pc that is running the simulator software?
Yes, however, you will need to re-calibrate and go through the set up process, but you will only need to do this once. This means that if you want to run the simulator on your desktop PC and on your Laptop PC you can do so by simply moving the SIMSTICK to the other device.
•Will the SIMSTICK work on a MAC?
As long as your simulator runs on the MAC, then the SIMSTICK should function
•Do I have to have the simulator programme running first?
It doesn’t matter if you plug the SIMSTICK in first and then run the programme of visa versa.
•What simulators will it work with?
We have tested the SIMSTICK with Phoenix v3 and Aerofly Professional, we are in the process of testing with other simulators. We will update the compatability chart as we confirm SIMSTICK works with each product. If you would like to help us text new products please email us.
•Do you offer warranty for the SIMSTICK
Provided that you have followed the instructions, then the SIMSTICK is covered by a 1 year Warranty from the original date of purchase.
•Do you test the SIMSTICK before it is sent out to me?
Yes. Every SIMSTICK is fully electronically tested before it is sent out. In addition we random SIMSTICKS by running them on a functioning simulator.
•Are you planning to develop the SIMSTICK further?
Yes. We are currently looking at an adapter to allow connection of the ar7000 receiver and other receivers with wider pin spacing. In addition to this we are working on a 35Mhz version and also a Futaba version. Lots to look forward to so keep an eye on our website.
