For the past couple months we have been reporting on the progress of a new comer to the 2-stroke heli engine arena, KME engines. They have gone after the “big block” 50 size market for people who are looking to squeeze more power into those 600 size heli’s.
Well, the time has come! KME has released final production pictures of the Diamond .60 Pro engine as well as specifications. The new engine will be on display at IRCHA and is expected to start shipping within the next 30 days. You can expect to see more details here very soon as well as a full review in the near future.
[SinglePic not found]The goal of the Diamond .60 Pro engine is 60 size power in a 50 size footprint. The KME engine will drop right into almost any 50 size heli on the market today while giving you a increase of 30% more power!

As you can see in the pics the KME Diamond .60 Pro features a completely CNC machined case compared to the typical cast cases found on OS and YS engines.
[SinglePic not found]Instead of developing their own carburetor from scratch, KME elected to use a tried and trued 60LH carburetor on the market from OS. This is the same carburetor you will find on the OS Hyper 50.
[SinglePic not found]One unique thing about the Diamond .60 Pro is the use of a 90 size muffler. The engine is designed with the same muffler bolt pattern as a OS 90 engine. So you can pick from any OS 90 pipe available today (i.e. Outrage 90, Align 90, Hatori SB18, GP Pipe 90, etc).
