Finally. Helidirect has decided to do a sexier and sharper, Aurora/Synergy inspired canopy for the Align T-Rex 700N. The one in the photo, still a prototype, is from the people who brought us the popular $49.90 Fusuno canopy.
Since the pre-production days of the 700N, there have been numerous flyers (including ME!) complaining about the shape and paint scheme of the canopy. Some even swore not to own the 700N until Align does something about the canopy. So Align took the original one, gave it a yellow spray, which definately looks way better, and a red-orange nose that looks pretty ok on the box. But someone along the production line decided to turn it into a red-nosed reindeer…
Before long, helidirect came up with a line-up of affordable canopies for the 700N. While some still complained about the looks, I thought they look great. This one, the Aurora/Synergy shaped ones should finally please the crowd.
I know, it still has got that red nose…but there will definately be other paint schemes….
