. . . . improvement in performance. The Team at KDE Direct gave us a heads up for a testing video they did pushing a Trex 700 with KDE700XF-495 and Castle Creations ICE2 HV160 ESC. Simply awesome to see collaboration to improve product performance.
Watch the vid for yourself and see how the testing goes, also read exactly what KDE Direct had to say about the flight and testing. Thanks KDE Direct for the heads up.
KDE DIRECT 700 (KDE700XF-495) Firmware Development on CC ICE2 ESC

Flight outside pushing the KDE Direct 700 (KDE700XF-495 Brushless Motor) on soon-to-be-released code from Castle Creations on the ICE2 HV160 ESC.
Significant improvements have been made in development for the governor runtime, power output, and overall system efficiency in conjunction with the XF Brushless motor series. Notice during the flight the lack of any noticeable bogging or underspeed under various maneuvers, clearly seen in the consistency of the camera delay on the rotor blades and the motor sound (governed to 2175 rpm, +/- 14 degrees of pitch, 8000W+ peaks).
At the end of the test flight, purposefully severely oversped the motor in a fast decent to see how the governor would react and no issues, no chirping or tail kicks, just a smooth transition back into the hover. Cut the flight short to download the data log and continue development until final release.
New governor algorithm working extremely well in combination with the KDE700XF-495, with a noticeable increase in available power. Truly the market leader; setting the standard in performance and innovation for RC Helicopters. Products available now online at http://www.kdedirect.com/700ESeriesProducts.html.
