RCHR was invited by 3DX, Pro Hobbies and RCVictory and sponsored by Scorpion Motors to cover the first annual 2011 3DX Philippines this past weekend. Due to the infrastructure of internet in the Philippines and Derrick Threatt our editor suffering an injury at the event we were not able to post the event coverage earlier.
As you may know 3DX competition formation has been franchised and is now being held in several countries every year. The Philippines is one of the most recently added venues which we thought is a great place to expand the hobby due to the cost savings involved with holding it in the Philippines and its central location in south Asia.
The event was one day held on Saturday July 2nd, 2010 and was a very organized event despite its small size. Location was great for tourism as well as the event venue was large and had plenty of vendors, food, seats and safe shaded areas for spectators. The event sponsors got a lot for their money as the grand total for holding the event was very low. Our coverage of the event we hope will make this event grown next year.
