I know it’s a little early but I wanted to tell you that The Orlando Radio Control Helicopter Society (TORCHS) is proud to announce that we’re doing it again. Building off the success of last years event which hosted many top pilots and had over 120 registered pilots, TORCHS has set the dates for its 2nd Annual Orlando Heli Blowout. The dates are December 11, 12, and 13, 2009. I have attached the new flyer for this years event which at this time is rather empty as far as sponsers goes but as committments are made the flyer will be updated and I will keep you posted on updates as well.
You can check the “Our Fun Fly” section on the TORCHS site for the latest info. Many videos and photos from last years event can be found right here on rcheliresource.com. At last years event, I was able to capture some photos so check them out in the gallery below. Showing his commitment to have rcheliresource.com bringing you the best live video coverage up close and personal you can see Derrick Threat’s noggin in many of my pictures.:)
Just like last year, we expect many top pilots. Bert Kammerer, Bobby Watts, Jason Krause, Big D, Craig Martin and Steven Fox have already committed and many more will follow. With this early notice the list will change of course and we will keep you posted.
Same as last year, this years event will be hosted by the Radio Control Association of Central Florida’s (RCACF) Tangarine Field. This field is a great location for a fun fly and Orlando’s weather in December is typically nice with very low humidity with temps between the upper 60’s to low 70’s. Being in Orlando there are lots of places to visit such as Disney World and Sea World so bring the family and have fun.
