RC Mania Unboxing Align 3GX
Opening the box, the FBL System is packaged nicely.
The USB seems to be similar to the original 3G USB.
The 3GX combines the receiver, three-axis gyro, control unit, and supports DSM2/DSMJ and Futaba S. Bus.
Taking a look around the control unit, you have the Data port to connect the USB and the port for your Gov sensor. With the layout on one end for connecting the servos, similar to a receiver’s layout. And on the other side are two ports for attaching external satellite antennas.
Check it out! Genuine units are stamped Made in Taiwan. Also included in the box are two 1mm thick double sided adhesive pads, 3GX software installation CD, and the required cables.
Now for the juicy part, taking apart the control unit to see the internal electronics. The case of the control unit is made of plastic and the circuit board is secured using foam tape also acting as a shock absorber. As you can see, the foam shock absorber has the imprint of the components on the circuit board, basically everything is a tight fit within the case.
Looking at the sides you can see two layers of circuit board with the CPU and angular sensor sandwiched in between.
Looking even closer from the sides, it is not clear but the CPU is probably faster than the original 3G and there are more than likely two sensors.
All the solder joints look very strong!
