For all of you Realflight G4 owners out there i have created an RCheliresource.com canopy for CDT’s Trex 500ESP G4.5 version. It features a visual Spartan gyro, extended canopy shield and a metalic blue tint.

The Realflight G4.5 update have been out for a while. Just got mine updated a few days ago and it was a big file at almost 1gigabyte. As with previous upgrades, most of the changes are more on the visual and sound effect, rather than the physics or “realness” of the flight. However, I did discover a slight change in heli flight characteristic.

Collective Designs Team has just released thier new updated Trex 450 SE V2 for Realflight G4.5!

Thier previous Trex 450 for Realflight G3.5 was a big hit with a record breaking 30,475 downloads, this one should turn out great just like the previous version did.

“The one and only multi-platform RC heli simulator”.

This could be the slogan for this sim. This release of a new simulator version comes in handy – for the season with the nastier flying conditions. Heli-X used to be a freeware (*), Java-based simulator which most users found far more convincing than FMS (some, however, said that flying Heli-X is harder than a real heli – which doesn’t hurt IMHO – if you can fly the more difficult sim, you can also fly your real model, right?). 

With the current 1.0 release, Heli-X has gone shareware. This is justified if you take a look at the extensive feature list – there’s not many things missing if you compare it to commercial sims like Reflex, Phoenix, Realflight or AFPD: [ click here to see videos, photos & rest of story ]

UK-based Runtime Software, announced today that a new public beta will soon be available for the newest version (2.0) of their popular Phoenix RC radio controlled flight simulator, along with an updated version of their customization software, Phoenix Creator. It has been a while since I used any of the latest 3D acclerated RC flight trainers/simulators.  I ran across this one today, Phoenix RC Simulator, that I though was actual video footage.   This simulator looks amazing.  I am not sure if anyone has ever used it but if you have share your experience by commenting below.
