A few weeks ago we reported on the DX7 AV Upgrade from gtronics. Well, I received my unit a couple of weeks ago. Shipping took about 13 days to get to me, not bad considering Gabriele sent the package from Italy. So, I finally had some spare time today to install the unit and I must say this is a great upgrade to have.

Video preview I did for the increasingly popular Gaui 500x Mulirotor RC Helicopter. The Gaui 500x is the next generation in multicopters from Gaui after the sucess of their 330x they moved up to this one. Great job Gaui.

The SmackTalk RC Heli Cruise set sail on November 26th from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale heading toward Belize. Thirteen of us boarded Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas that day to be a part of the first SmackTalk RC Heli Cruise. Click for more information about the cruise!

Last week we posted a review of the new High Voltage Brushless cyclic and tail servos from MKS.  Due to time and equipment constraints we ended up flying them on a 6V Align 2-1 system.  This week we converted the Trex 700Nitro to an AR 7100 and Voltz 2S LiPo receiver pack sending 8 volts straight to the servos.  If we thought they were fun before, they really came alive on 8v….
