Pro-level features at a sport system price!

The 10C includes features formerly found only on Futaba’s most advanced systems like intuitive Dial’n Key™ programming and joystick navigation; Basic and Advanced menus allowing you quick access to the most used menus; programmable mixes and more. But it also offers features that our competition does not in this price range: Features like logic switches; 7-point throttle curve and two gyro settings for airplanes; 7-point throttle and pitch curves and four flight modes for helis Expanded sailplane features that include butterfly-to-elevator mix, as well as spoiler and motor cut menus are also featured. Another plus is a feature that automatically conserves power by turning off the backlight during periods of inactivity. I saw these servos in a guy’s helicopter here in L.A. and wanted to see what these were all about. Well, at $169.00 (MSRP) a piece I don’t think that I will be buying any anytime soon. Specs are silly fast.

IRCHA Jamboree, AMA flying site Muncie, IN – August 9th – 12th 2007 marks a world record for pilot attendance at any RC aircraft event of its kind, and Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM technology was there in full force. The numbers are in from the IRCHA vice president – Charles Anderson. “It’s in the books; 712 registered pilots attended the event with only 150 72MHz radios making to the impound trailer. This of course made it much easier to monitor and manage the event. No problems were reported with 2.4GHz users and it was less hassle for staff and pilots who reported they were able to get more flights in at this event because of Spektrum!” – Anderson said, Click here to view further praise by Charles R. Anderson Vice President, IRCHA   (You’ll need Adobe Acrobat Reader which may be downloaded here for free. )  Because the event committee elected not to impound 2.4GHz radios, there were almost 600 2.4GHz radios were in the pits or flight line over the course of the event. Even with this large number of radios not in the impound, there were no reported 2.4GHz issues of any kind.  

Airframe manufacturers interested in showcasing their helis found their team pilots could demonstrate their machines virtually on an as-needed basis, vastly different from previous years where flying might have meant a wait of an hour or more.17 pilot stations were filled with heli pilots showing off the latest in RC heli development, and 2.4GHz antennas could be seen all the way down the line. This is an amazing milestone for the RC community. It’s pretty clear with this level of 2.4GHz participation, the 2.4GHz revolution is here to stay, and Spektrum’s DX7 was the radio of choice for this crowd. The DX7 offers all the programming features heli pilots need to take their machines to the absolute limit without any interference, glitches, or waiting for a frequency pin to fly.<
