Surpise, surprise, surprise! RCHeliResource is “in the building.”
All the way from COLD and WINDY Orlando, Florida. We got here at 6am on Friday and the outlook didn’t look that great but by noon it was sunny and the wind died down and there was the unforgettable aroma of sewage (field is next to waste processing plant) and nitro fuel in the air.

Compass model is relatively new to the helicopter scene. Their first projects started with the Knight Sport and the Knight Pro (discontinued). Their lineup has now expanded to the Knight 3d 50, Atom 500, and the Odin 90, which have proved to be great flying helis. I have owned the Knight 3d now for 4 months, and thought it would be a good idea to write a review.

Looks like Centruy is working on a completley redesigned Gasser. From the posts ive seen it can take up to 900mm blades! If your into the gasser thing, this looks like a super nice kit, so keep your eye out for more information on it as it becomes avaialable.

Yup, thats right, carbon blades for your 250! Coming out soon is the new release from Align of 2 different versions of the carbon blades for the small Trex 250, and both are under $20. They are 205mm in length(jeez thats tiny). Watch your local align vendors for the product to be coming in stock.

New from Switzerland, is Raquel Bellot video, showing us how the 700 flies, with a feminine touch to the sticks. She is definitely getting better and better each new video we see of her! Its interesting to see women flying at the field these days, but one that flies 3D, come on, one in a million chance? Check inside for the video link!

E-Flite has set the bar for entry level ready to fly helis. From the Blade CP to the Blade 400 3d, their helis have been know for their ability to be taken out of the box and flown within a few minutes. Will Heli-Max make it or break it with the new Axe 400? Read on to find out.

Got a few shots for your LA3D junkies out there. Was a great show put on by Bert M. Definitely I enjoyed being part of the team. Videos will be posted later today. Working on them now.

With last years heat, came a new plan for the LA3D Helicopters event, move it to October, they should be able to beat the heat then. And they sure did that this year! Bert and his crew of 20 or so people put together one of the greatest west coast fun flies I have ever been to. The flying was hot, weather was perfect, moderate wind every now and then, great atmosphere. All in all, this event went down to be one of the best in my history book. With about 100 registered pilots, and flight stations packed 2-3 people back, on each station, there was plent of Nitro being burned, and electorns flowing through out the action packed weekend. Vendors were on hand to provide out any parts needed, and the local teams were out with their hottest stuff, and pilots.

I finally got out to do some more flight testing and took a video.Alright guys here is some flight testing video with the upgraded dampeners. The response is much crisper and the heli feels much more locked in. I would definitely recommend this “mod” to anyone into 3d flying. Check out the video and the photos on the next page.

Since the release of the Blade 400 from Eflite, there has always been a desire for metal parts. Whether it be for a more robust crashing machine, or a custom blinged out heli, months after months came around, and still the same old plastic, well change has came!

Just released this week is Eflites new Mini CX. It comes in 2 versions, a Bind and Fly, or a RTR version. The RTR version contains a PC Game pad/Playstation type controller. It has trim tabs, and surprisgnly, a Dual Rate option, but not on a conventional switch. In order to switch beteween Dual Rates you actually press in the right stick, and the LED on the transmitter will blink to signify the change, and when switched back, it will go back to a solid red. Pretty nifty.
