Aeroclub Vertigo and Manolos Hobbies in Bogota Columbia invited RCHR to come to Columbia and see their event. This being their 20th annual event they wanted to now move into promoting their event world wide. RCHR was on hand to help the club accomplish that.
Aeroclub Vertigo was a club started by Manolos Hobbies and they have been sponsoring this event for now 20 years. Primarily a RC helicopter event/field they invited some of the best RC helicopter pilots from around South America to participate in the event. Lots of spectators, always more than here in the US, and about 100 pilots…the event was very well organized and had a very family feel to it. Their field was definitely one of the nicer fields set in a very farm-like countryside setting. Columbia was a great experience. I had never been there but from all you hear in the media…I had the impression that it was like the wild west. I can honestly say it was one of the nicest South American countries I had ever visited and the Columbian’s hospitality was definitely First Class and family-like.
