2009 marked the 23rd year for the Southern Rotary Classic. Again this year Team RC Heli Resource was on site in Mt. Pleasant Texas to bring you videos of the hottest flights at the event. This post will be continuously updated as we add all the videos from the event.

SPIED: CYE Rave ENV Nitro!

UPDATE: Full picture gallery of the ENV Nitro has been added.

Team RcHeliResource is on site at the 23rd Annual Southern Rotary Classic. Shown for the first time to the public at this event is the new Curtis Youngblood Rave ENV Nitro 90. Curtis had the ENV Electric 90 on hand at IRCHA, but now we get the first look at the nitro variant.

Looks like Curtis’s design is coming along! Hopefully we’ll see a final version before the end of the year!

EVENT: 2009 Southern Rotary Classic 23rd Annual – Sept. 18-20

Time to mark your calendars for the 23rd Annual Southern Rotary Classic. This is a long standing event that has attracted some of the best pilots in the country. This year so far the following pro pilots have confirmed their attendance: Curtis Youngblood, Bobby Watts, Nick Maxwell, Jamie Robertson, Tim Jones, and Bert Kammerer. There will more pilots announced once the event gets closer.

Location/Directions:

GPS coordinates of the field: 33.087982,-95.004959

Directions from Mt. Pleasant, TX: Take US-271 South out of town, approx 4 miles. Turn Right on Farm Road 3417. In approx 2.5 miles, turn Left on SW 37th St. Field is on your Left in approx .5 mile.

Lodging info:

Hampton Inn: reservations will be taken until August 17th, 2009 for our event. Must mention (Southern Rotary Classic/ and or radio control Helicopter event) to get their attention. Reduced from 109.00 per night to 89.00 per night for pilots. Regular room, with 2 queens, or 1 King size bed, and free breakfast with everything for this price.
