I had not planned on being able to attend XFC this year however, due to a family emergency I ended up being in Cleveland, OH on Saturday and Sunday.  Late afternoon Sunday I had some free time so my girlfriend and I made the short 3.5 hour drive to Muncie, IN to catch the last that we could of the competition.

Last years event was a BLAST with lots of fun and great pilots!  Fun Fly dates are May 8th through May 10th 2009. There will be on site BBQ’s, restrooms and snack bars.

I am well aware of our current economic situation.  In these hard times I know that its really nice to be able to keep on doing what you love…in our case its RC Helicopters.

I am not sure if everyone knows but we do offer a paid AUTHOR program at our site.  Unlike other sites that CENSOR and over control the content.  We offer a free reign program allowing our authors and contributors to submit post without fear of censorship or anti-competitive practices.

We offer NEWS….not biased or PAID for content.  Our authors deserve all of the credit for this sites success.  This year we started a program giving our contributors BONUSES and we haven’t really publicized it.

This month we are recognizing the following authors/contributors who have done exceptional work above and beyond the call of duty:

1st Place: Sean Williams (for his excellent post and photo work at the 2009 Align Las Vegas Ultimate Competition & Fun-Fly) ($200.00) (now 2x winner)

2nd Place: Reggie Rodgers Jr (his excellent almost daily updates and forum scouring as well as his work on the Next-D Rave review) ($100)

3rd Place: Calvin Lin (his always BREAKING..up to the minute news from Asia) ($100)

The 2008 Empire Hobby World Micro Heli Cup is now in its fourth year and has already
proven itself as a high profile show for the world’s best indoor micro helicopter pilots. Our
fourth annual event will take place on Saturday, October 18th and Sunday, October 19th
at the iHobbyExpo located in the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont,
Illinois. Like last year, we expect great crowds, great media coverage, and lots of cash
and prizes to be given away.

As a previous competator in the last 4 years, Kyle Stacy placing 3rd last year, behind team mate Bobby Watts, this year has put stepped it up a few notches this year, taking the 1st place trophy for both the Micro (Gaui 200 sized), and the Mini (Trex 450 sized) classes, bringing in a whopping $2000 for his winnings, and a smile on his face as he gets on the airplane, with his two big 4 foot long checks.

I would like to first introduce myself to the patrons of RCHeliResource. My name is Mark Fadely and I am one of the newest contributing paid photo editors and I would like to thank the staff of RCHeliResource.com for the opportunity of sharing my photos with the RC Helicopter community.
