KS Model (Mikado’s authorized Hong Kong retail shop) invited interested pilots to the first Mikado Heli Cup in Hong Kong last week November 15, 2009. It was held at the Police Recreation Club, Prince Edward. There were outdoor and indoor competitions for both airplanes and helicopters and we have some videos and photos for you.

3D Masters 2010 will be held in Venlo, the Netherlands on the 23rd, 24th and 25th July. The hosts will be the Jupiter Flying Club, whose site is based on heathland very close to the town of Venlo, which is situated in the south-east of Holland. Here is a video produced by Team Mikado at 3DMasters 2009.  I better step up my game.  I think I can top this.  Some of this video is outstanding however.  My music track is smashing this.  Hats off to the editor.  I am jealous how fast he got this out.  I wish mine was up already.  Thanks for promoting the sport!

We were on hand and have shot over 300 inidividual video clips of 3D Masters 2009 in Murcia Spain.  Our sponsorship of 3D Masters gave us unprecedented photo and video access to the event surpassing past US media providers.

To sum it all up, “What an experience!” 3DMasters 2009 was a hit. I have always desired to travel to England with my Vegas neighbors Danny and Alan Szabo in past years but was never fortunate enough until the support this site has gained has afforded us an opportunity to goto this spectacular event. I have never been to XFC as well….but I imagine that it is just as spectacular even though I am not a big fan of RC Airplanes.

We here at RcHeliResource get the news to you first. Just in is the scorecard for the first day at 3d Masters. Eric Weber holds the top with a perfect score. Surprisingly, many of the “big name” pilots actually are out of the top five. It will be interesting to see how the event plays out.

I had not planned on being able to attend XFC this year however, due to a family emergency I ended up being in Cleveland, OH on Saturday and Sunday.  Late afternoon Sunday I had some free time so my girlfriend and I made the short 3.5 hour drive to Muncie, IN to catch the last that we could of the competition.

The last 9th and 10th of May 2009 the 3DX Spain 2009 took place in Utrera (Sevilla). Due to the fact that 3DMasters 2009 is being held in Spain, Mosa Trajectum Golf Resort – Murcia it was a very special occasion and two pilots were granted a place in the 3DM.

There were 17 pilots in total in the competition and the weather condition weren´t the best ones, on Sunday when the actual competion was held there was a very strong wind and this affected quite a lot the flying of most pilots.

[ July 24, 2009 to July 26, 2009. ] 3D Masters 2009 will be held in Murcia, Spain on the 24th, 25th and 26th July 2009

The venue will be the Mosa Trajectum Golf Resort, where the driving range will be reserved for the 3D Masters event. The location is within 15km of Murcia/San Javier Airport, Alicante Airport is only 80 km away and both are supported by low-cost airlines from all over Europe with Transcontiental flights served by nearby Madrid. There is also a huge amount of low-cost accommodation within the immediate area, making the event easily accessible by a large number of enthusiasts.

The site is ideal for the World’s largest International 3D contest with unlimited Night Flying, no noise constraints and virtually guaranteed good weather. With its own bars, restaurants, entertainments, and the Sea only 20 minutes away, the visitor is guaranteed not only a spectacular weekend of 3D, but a holiday as well.

3D Masters 2009 will feature modifications to its format to ensure a close-fought and exciting event, as well as Night Flying and Synchro Flying Competitions. Definitely NOT to be missed.

I attended the Port Charlotte Heli Event on Saturday, February 28th.  The event was a success as they brought in 59 registered pilots and many spectators.  The event is put on by the Charlotte Radio Control Society (CRCS) and hosted at the Shell Creek RC Field.  The weather was great.  A little windy but awesome flying as usual with pilots like Scott Gray, Henry Caldwell, Bert Kammerer, Craig Martin, Bobby Smith, and Mike Fortin to name a few.

It seem as if flying RC Helis is no longer a game of big boys, After Justin Chi we have 7 year old Alon flying like a pro and actually winning prizes at various competition.
