Where you are from? Originally from Cleveland but currently live in Valencia, California. I hold dual citizenship for the United States and Brazil.
Your interest’s/hobbies? I am first an entrepreneur having owned several small business I am always looking for that next challenge. I am secondly a workaholic. I strive to be on top and if that means taking on more work than the next guy can then I will do that. I would say my largest interest outside of the RC industry is photography and video. I love to be behind the camera and why not turn that into another job. I do fly RC Helicopters. I would say I am an intermediate pilot. I can do basic 3d. While living in Las Vegas I received my private pilots license flying Robison R22s and R44s.
Industry Experience? I have over 10 years in the RC Industry starting on the RC Car side. I helped put Unlimited Engineering, a manufacturer of T-Maxx conversion kits, on the map. I moved over to the RC Helicopter side after moving back to the United States from Brazil and had sold all of me RC Car collections. I wanted to get into something new…so I thought I would try RC flight and dove into helicopters. Living in Vegas I learned from the Szabos who flew at my local field helping me through the basics. I then coupled my photography and RC interest together and designed several seed sites (DannySzabo.com, DYDheli.com, etc.) which eventually led me into starting RCHeliResource.Com.
Work experience? I am ex-military, US Air Force navigator/defense on B52s and B1B, Legal Analyst for the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, worked as a financial systems analyst for Ford Motor Credit, I previously owned a DVD distribution company as well as credit card wholesale transaction company that I sold in the late 1990s. I currently work for as a applications developer full time connecting automotive distributions companies to Amazon.Com.
Where you are from? Originally form Cleveland, Ohio but have lived in Texas, Colorado, Washington, Rio De Janerio, Brazil, Arizona, Nevada, Michigan & Turkey while in the Military.
Education? Cleveland School of Performing Arts (Photography & Graphic Design), California State University Sacramento (Information Systems), University of Gama Fila Rio De Janerio, Brazil (Portuguese), Arizona State University School of Law.
How long you have been with RCHeliResource? I am the founder and I have been with the site since its inception in early 2008.
You role/position with RCHeliResource? On a day-to-day basis I work mostly with the marketing aspect of the company. Daily management issues, personnel issues, some accounting, event coordination. Currently I am more and more pushing other activities to my authors, contributors and contractors but I am still the sole source in the company for the event video content.
Why you work for RCHeliResource? I work for RCHeliResource because eventually I am hoping that my investment will pay off and I will be able to turn this into a full-time job and long term income
potential.
What do you think makes RCHeliResource successful? I think the secret to the success of RCHeliResource (that I would publicly disclose) is the freedom it unleashes on the industry. Our site seems to be one of the only sites out there not trying to regulate the dissimination of information on our industry based on how many dollars are contributed to the website. Our team seems to be one of the most
tech-savy, organized, and open-minded groups in the inudstry and hopefully the community will see that we have everyones interest in mind.
